Biography:

Florentina Zurita, is a full time professor in the Department of Technological Sciences of the Centro Universitario de la Ciénega of the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. She teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels. She obtained a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Engineering of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a Ph.D in Science and Technology at the Center for Research and Assistance in Technology and Design of the State of Jalisco, Mexico.She is an evaluator of national projects of the National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico and referee of national and international journals. During the last fifteen years, Dr. Zurita has conducted different research projects about constructed wetlands and phytoremediation for the removal of conventional and emergent pollutants from water and wastewater as well as projects regarding underground and surface water quality monitoring.Her results have been published in the form of around 30 papers in indexed journals as well as oral presentations in internationals conferences. Dr. Zuritais a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico
