A psychiatric disorder is a mental illness characterized by clinically significant disturbance in an individual’s cognition, emotion regulation, or behavior that reflects a dysfunction in the psychological, biological, or developmental processes underlying mental function. The most frequent disorders observed are depression, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders and addictions. A variety of biological, psychological, and environmental factors can contribute to the development or progression of mental disorders. Understanding the biological causes of mental illness and the recent findings in genetics and genomics, neurobiology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging and pharmacology have led to the development of new therapies to people suffering from mental illness.

Journal of Psychiatric Studies is the peer reviewed open Access, online journal committed to publish the most consistent source of information on psychiatric clinical studies and advancements on Psychiatric conditions and diseases.

Aims and Scope

Journal of Psychiatric Studies aims to publish current research developments in psychiatric research pertaining to the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the brain encircling the diagonal issues and medical procedures of the illness affecting brain.
