Dr. Ceren Karaman earned a Ph.D., a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree, in Chemical Engineering from different universities in Turkey. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on graphene-based monolith electrodes for high-energy applications. During her academic career, she published 83 publications, participated in 42 conferences, and authored or co-authored book chapters. She Ceren Karaman also worked as a researcher and intern at various institutions in Turkey and the United States, and she received several honors and awards related to her research and entrepreneurship in graphene-based technologies.
The research interests are a wide range of topics related to material science and engineering, with a particular focus on energy storage and conversion systems, nanomaterials, and electrochemical sensors. Other areas of interest include porous materials, electrochemical engineering, wastewater treatment, adsorption, catalysis, biomaterials, bioprocesses of organic resources, and computational chemistry. With such a diverse range of interests, this individual is poised to make significant contributions in a variety of fields related to materials science and engineering, as well as other related disciplines.
