Chaojie Zhang

Biography:

Dr. Chaojie Zhang is a professor with expertise in environmental engineering. She holds a PhD and a Master's degree in the field from Tongji University, and an undergraduate degree from Qingdao University. She currently teaches at Tongji University and has also been a visiting scholar at Stanford University. Her research interests include the removal of refractory organic matter, biological nitrogen removal, and desalination of industrial wastewater. Dr. Zhang has been involved in various scientific research projects funded by organizations such as the National Key Research and Development Plan, the Natural Science Foundation, and the Special Fund for Basic Scientific Research of Central Universities. Her research work focuses on understanding the mechanisms and regulation methods of various environmental pollutants, such as perfluoroorganic acids and halogenated organic compounds, and developing green and low-consumption technologies for wastewater treatment.

Research Interests:

Dr. Chaojie Zhang research interests mainly focus on the study of environmental pollutants, such as perfluoroorganic acids and halogenated organic compounds, and the development of remediation technologies based on photochemical processes, including photoreduction and adsorption. The research aims to find efficient, low-consumption, and environmentally friendly ways to remove pollutants and improve the water quality in rural and urban areas.
