Alexsandro S. Galdino

Biography:

Dr. Galdino received his Bachelor Degree (BSc) in Biological Sciences from Department of Biology from Federal University of Ceara (UFC), Brazil and subsequently completed his Master Degree in Biochemistry at Department of Biochemistry, UFC. He completed his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at cellular biology department from University of Brasília (UnB). After that, he held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Molecular Biology Laboratory from UnB. He worked with innovation in diagnosis kits, producing various recombinant proteins patentable. During their studies, he has dedicated his efforts in the field of cloning and expression of the heterologous gene in microorganisms (bacteria and yeasts) in order to obtain innovative products and process for biotechnological purposes. He has international collaboration with the Limerick Institute and Technology (LIT) and enterprises biotechnology-based for developing innovative products with biotechnological applications.

Microbial Biotechnology/Recombinant proteins/Heterologous expression, Heterologous expression in yeast and bacteria, Diagnosis kit using molecular biology
