Aruni Wilson

Biography:

Dr. Wilson is currently working as Associate Research Professor for the Division of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics in the School of Medicine at Loma Linda University and has been involved in active teaching and research for a period of 24 years. During his tenure, he had occupied various academic capacities as Director - University Bioinformatics Center and Director – Advanced imaging facility. As an experienced and well-trained scientist in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology of microbial diseases, he has focused my research program in studying infectious pathogens, their virulence and their importance in systemic diseases. His expertise in the field of Bioinformatics and nano vaccine delivery is well acknowledged. In addition to his research initiatives, he has completed 4 extramural grants funded by the DBT, DST, and ICMR (India) and currently funded with 2 grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). His research work has culminated in 88 publications, 3 books, and 5 book chapters. All of his doctoral students had taken up a permanent academic/ research positions internationally. He is currently serving on editorial boards of high impact peer-reviewed journals in the field of Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics.

Research Interests:

Proetomics, Microbial Metabolomics, Immunoproteomics , bioinformatics and Microbiology.
