Biography:

Lagana Pasqualina is a Biologist, Obtained Her Msc. From The University Of Messina. She is Specialized in General Pathology and in Chemistry and Food Technologies. Graduated In "Risks And Disorders In The Work" And In “Parasitology Of Territory”. In 2013 She Obtained A Master In "Epidemiology And Biostatistics" At The Università Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore In Rome, Italy. Since 1996 Has Been Appointed Adjunct Professors Of General And Applied Hygiene, Researcher At The Faculty Of Medicine And Surgery, She Is Employed By The Department Of Hygiene Since 1999. Member Of The Italian Society Of Hygiene, Preventive Medicine, and Public Health, Italian Study Group Hospital Hygiene And Italian Foods Group. Since 2013 Dr. Lagana Is The Coordinator Of The Academic Bachelor’s Degree Course In Dietician.

Teacher Of “Epidemiology” And Of “Public Health” (Degree In Medicine And Surgery), “Environmental Hygiene” (Degree In Natural And Environmental Sciences; Marine Biology And Ecology; Dietician). Professor Of "Hygiene Of Nutrition”, And “Methodology And Laboratory Diagnosis Of Contagious Diseases” At The Specialization Course In Hygiene And Public Health.

She Followed Stage At The Laboratories Of The Life Sciences Of The Joint Research Centre In Ispra, Istituto Superiore Di Sanità (Rome) And Microbiology Institute Of University Of Pavia (Italy). Since 2012 She Is Responsible Of Analysis Within The Regional Reference Laboratory For Clinical And Environmental Legionella Surveillance (Branch Of Messina, Sicily) And By October 2016 She Is A Head Of The Laboratory.

Research Interests:

Her Research Interests Focuses On Experimental Microbiologic Investigations In Clinical Specimens, Foods And The Environments. Of Particular Importance To The Research Conducted For The Environmental Monitoring Of Legionellosis in hospital and community
