Jonas G Croissant

Biography:

Jonas G. Croissant is currently serving as a visiting Assistant Professor, managing and publishing multidisciplinary nanobiotechnology collaborative engineering projects, focusing on engineered silica hybrid-based transparent superhydrophobic nanocoatings. He teaches chemical engineering and scientific communication courses in this capacity.

He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the National School of Chemistry Montpellier in France. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from the University of Montpellier in France.

Research Interests:

His research interests are mainly focused on Sol-gel design of porous and non-porous organosilica nanomaterials: mesoporous silica, periodic mesoporous organosilica, and bridged silsesquioxane nanomaterials. Engineering biodegradable silica hybrid nanomaterials. Nanomedicine: imaging, drug delivery, photothermal and photodynamic therapies.
