Ghada Mohammed Amer

Biography:

Prof. Ghada Amer is an academic and entrepreneur who is currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Misr University for Science and Technology. She has held various positions throughout her career, including Visiting Professor at the Military College for Management Sciences, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies & Research at Benha University, and Academic Visitor at the National Defense College's Technology Department. She is also the CEO and Co-Founder of ASTF Innovation Lab and the Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre at Benha University. Prof. Amer has a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Benha University, an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering from Cairo University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering from Cairo University. She has been recognized for her work and achievements, including being named one of the "Top 20 Influential Muslim Women Scientists in the World" by Muslim-Science Magazine in 2014 and one of the "500 Most Influential Muslims in 2016" in the field of science and technology by The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre. Prof. Amer has published over 50 papers in international journals in the electrical power field, smart systems, AI, and over 180 articles in Arabic to spread the culture of STI. She actively advocates for socio-economic development based on RDI within her country and the region.

Research Interests:

Prof. Ghada Amer's research interests cover electrical power engineering, smart systems, AI, innovation and entrepreneurship, R&D, women in science and innovation, and future warfare technology. She has published numerous papers and articles in these fields and advocates for socio-economic development through R&D in her country and the region.
