Yuanlong Xie is a lecturer in the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China. He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and his Ph.D. degree in Mechatronic Engineering from HUST in 2014 and 2018, respectively. He was an Academic Visitor at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Leeds in the U.K. from 2017 to 2018. He joined HUST as a Postdoctoral Fellow in November 2018 and became a Lecturer in August 2021. Xie has authored or coauthored over 70 academic journal and conference papers, and his research interests include mobile robots, robot control, and servo control.
Yuanlong Xie's research interests include mobile robots, adaptive control, collision avoidance, control system synthesis, nonlinear control systems, stability, variable structure systems, optimization, path planning, Lyapunov methods, machine control, motion control, optical radar, permanent magnet motors, robust control, synchronous motors, asymptotic stability, optimal control, pose estimation, predictive control, robot vision, rotors, synchronous motor drives, uncertain systems, and angular velocity control.
