Hamid Ali Abed Al-Asadi was born in Iraq. He earned his B.Sc. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Communication Engineering from Basra University, Basra, Iraq, in 1987 and 1994, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. degree at the University Putra Malaysia, specializing in Optical Fiber Communication and Computer Systems, in 2011.
Following his graduation, he joined the Computer Unit at Education College, Basra University, as an Assistant Researcher for three years. Currently, Dr. Al-Asadi serves as a Research Fellow and the Head of the Computer Science Department at Basra University. He is actively engaged in the academic community and serves as a member of scientific and reviewing committees for numerous journals and international conferences in the domains of Computer Science and Optical Communications Engineering.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Asadi holds editorial roles as the Editor-in-Chief for two prestigious journals: the International Journal of Advanced Computer Communications and Control (IJACCC) and the Sci-Afric Journal of Scientific Issues, Research, and Essays (SJSIRS).
His research interest include optical communications, optical fiber, spread –spectrum communications, and information theory, Wireless Network, Sensor Network, Fuzzy Logic and Neutral net works, Swan Intelligence, computer engineering, data mining and Artificial intelligence.
