Chunlei Liu

Biography:

Dr. Chunlei Liu has a rich academic and professional background in computer science. He earned his Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees from Wuhan University in China before completing his Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Liu has held various academic and industry positions, showcasing his diverse experience. He served as an Assistant Professor at Wuhan University, contributed as a System Architect in Lucent Technology Bell Labs, and later returned to academia as an Assistant Professor at Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. Currently, he holds the position of Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Valdosta State University.

At Valdosta State University, Dr. Liu played a pivotal role as the ABET Accreditation Coordinator for the Computer Science program, leading the successful accreditation process in 2016. His research interests span across computer networks, scientific computing, computer science education, accreditation, and assessment.

Dr. Liu has made significant contributions to his field, with over 80 publications including journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. Additionally, he has secured 13 internal and external grants, demonstrating his commitment to advancing research in computer science and related areas.
