Kaic Ana

Biography:

Ana Kaić is assistant professor at the Department of Animal Science and Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb (Croatia).Ana Kaić studied animal husbandry at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb from 2001 till2007. At the same faculty at the beginning of 2008, she enrolled with postgraduate doctoral study "Agricultural Sciences".

In the year 2009, she was at education in meat industry PIK Vrbovec (Croatia). She attended training course for expert sensory assessor in year 2009. From the year 2010, she has been a member of the Association of sensory analysts (Gustus). In 2011 and 2012she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Ljubljana.

She is expert in the following fields: animal husbandry, animal welfare, and equipment in the meat industry, factors affecting meat quality, food safety, sensory analysis, and the production of autochthonous meat products.

Research Interests:

Husbandry, animal welfare, equipment in the meat industry, factors affecting meat quality, food safety, sensory analysis, and the production of autochthonous meat products.
