Victor Oswaldo Otero Tuarez is a highly experienced and accomplished professor and researcher in the fields of agricultural and food sciences. He currently serves as a Main Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí University, where he also coordinates the Central Research Department. He has extensive teaching experience in various other universities and academic institutions, including as a Postgraduate Professor at the Carchi State Polytechnic University and as a Director of the Marine Biology Course at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. In addition to his academic and research work, Otero Tuarez has also served in various government agencies and organizations, including as a Technical Reviewer for the Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation and as a Public Servant and Trainer at the Vice Ministry of Aquaculture and Fisheries.
Otero Tuarez has a strong background in research, particularly in the areas of food microbiology, fat and oil industries, and management of quality. He has also published numerous scientific articles and has participated in various research projects, including the Genetic Improvement Project of the White Shrimp at the National Center for Aquaculture and Marine Research.
