Research Interests:

The presence of heavy metals in the environment and emerging contaminants such as microplastics and PFAS have raised concerns due to their potential toxicity and persistence. Microplastics, including the biofilm on their surface, can accumulate heavy metals and pose an ecological risk, while PFAS can negatively affect the health of marine mammals. It is essential to identify and characterize these contaminants in different environmental matrices to prevent their harmful effects on ecosystems and human health.
