Dr. Sreekanthan Sundararaghavan is a highly skilled Pediatric Cardiologist with 20 years of experience. He is proficient in multicultural and multiracial environments and has established three pediatric cardiology programs and a fetal cardiac program. He is currently working on establishing the Singapore national pediatric VAD and heart transplant program. Sreekanthan is an experienced teacher, having educated medical students, residents, and postgraduates, as well as mentoring residents and fellows. He holds several licenses and memberships to professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology and the Pediatric Cardiac Society of India. Sreekanthan has worked in various hospitals and medical schools in the USA, India, and Singapore and has performed non-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures. He is currently the Deputy Director of the National pediatric heart transplant and Mechanical cardiac support program, Singapore, and holds the position of Medical Director for Pediatric Heart failure and Cardiomyopathy Program at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in Singapore.
Dr. Sreekanthan Sundararaghavan's research interests include a range of topics related to pediatric cardiology. He is a Principal Investigator for the Panorama Study and Extension Trial by Novartis in Singapore. He is also interested in studying the genetic basis of sporadic septal defects and exploring the use of real-time 3-D echocardiography and advanced imaging in fetal congenital heart disease. Additionally, Sreekanthan is interested in researching vascular reactivity and vascular biology in the pediatric population, adolescent heart failure in Asian populations, and lymphangiectasia in children, including their outcomes and pathophysiology.
