Jiahao Zhang

Biography:

Dr. Jiahao Zhang is currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Preventive Veterinary Medicine at Huazhong Agricultural University, China. Prior to this, he pursued his Doctorate and Master's degrees in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from South China Agricultural University. He received his Bachelor's degree from Henan University of Science and Technology. Dr. Zhang possesses a diverse range of skills and expertise, including Molecular Evolution, Reverse Genetics, Virus-host Cell Interactions, CRISPR/Cas9, Laser Confocal Scanning Microscopic, Single-cell RNA seq, spatial RNA-seq, GWAS, and eQTL analysis.

Research Interests:

Dr. Zhang's research interests include the epidemiology, evolutionary dynamics, and pathogenesis of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases such as AIV, SARS-CoV-2, and ASFV. Additionally, he is interested in the combination of computational biology and functional verification methods, which include scRNA-seq, spatial RNA transcriptome, HIC, genomic-wide CRISPR screening, and others. Furthermore, he is keen on the integration of scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, spatial RNA-seq, eQTL, and GWAS analysis.
