Sukanya Narasimhan has completed her Bachelor of Science from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, India and Masters from Central College, Bangalore, India. She did her Ph.D. in the field of Biochemistry from Indian Institute Of Science, Bangalore, India. She is currently working as Senior Research Scientist at the Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven. She attended many national and international conferences. She published many articles in national and international journals.
Her scientific research mainly focuses on how arthropod vector‐borne human pathogens are sustained and transmitted by the arthropod vector and exploring the tick gut-pathogen interface is aimed to understand the tick gut and its resident microbiota both in the context of pathogen transmission and to exploit this as a new model to address the impact of environmental signals on gut microbiota.
