Stanisław Głuszek was born on February 17th, 1954, graduated from Medical Academy in Łódź, Faculty of Medicine in 1978. He obtained MD in Medical Sciences in 1981, Medical Academy in Lodz and the degree of a habilitated doctor in Medical Sciences in 1997 at the Medical Academy in Bialystok. He was awarded the title of Professor in Medical Sciences on November 17, 2003.
In years 1988-2000 Prof. Stanisław Głuszek, Ph.D. habil., M.D was the head of the Department of General Surgery, Regional Hospital (MSWiA) in Kielce and between years 2001-2005 the head of the Clinical Department of General, Oncological and Traumatic Surgery, Regional Hospital in Kielce (Szpital Miejski in Kielce). In 1991 he became a Regional Consultant in General Surgery. Moreover, from 2001 he started to work as an Associate Professor (dr hab.) at Świętokrzyska Academy in Kielce and from 2004 as a Full Professor (dr hab.) at Świętokrzyska Academy in Kielce. In the years 2006-2007 he became the Director of the Institute of Nursing and Midwifery at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Świetokrzyska Academy in Kielce and from 2007 the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at that moment). From September 2016 Prof. Stanisław Głuszek, Ph.D. habil., M.D was chosen for a Pro-rector for Medical Affairs at Jan Kochanowski University.
