Dr. Turgay Celik received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Warwick, U.K., in 2011. He is currently a Professor of Computer Science and the Director of National e-Science Postgraduate Teaching and Learning Platform at the University of Witwatersrand. He has been actively reviewing for and publishing in various international journals and conferences. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters and Springer Signal, Image and Video Processing Journal. His research interests are in the areas of visual computing, machine learning, data science, software engineering and remote sensing.
