David R. Holmes

Biography:

Dr. Holmes is currently a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and a consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He has received the Distinguished Scientist Award (Clinical Domain) from the American College of Cardiology and the Research Career Achievement Award from the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He is a Past President of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as well as the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). He has lectured widely both nationally and internationally. He has received the Herrick Award from the American Heart Association.

Research Interests:

His research interest mainly focuses on acute coronary syndromes, interventional cardiology, restenosis, vascular biology, and risk outcomes analysis.
