Fotini athanassopoulou has completed her degree from University of Thessaloniki. She completed her M.Sc and Ph.D. from University of Stirling, U.K. She is currently working as a professor at the University of Thessaly, School of Health Sciences in the Department of veterinary medicine. She has authored many publications in National and International Journals. She received many awards for her contribution in the field of veterinary medicine. She participated in many presentations.
Her research interests mainly focus on pathology related to parasitic treatment, alternative treatments, toxicology of drugs/ plant extracts/ ethno botany and environmental pollution in fish and vertebrates and immunological aspects of these treatments to cultured marine and freshwater fish.
