Edward Lynch completed a full term as the Head of Dentistry from 2010 in Warwick Dentistry at the University of Warwick, which has been ranked the third best University in the UK, with only Oxford and Cambridge being more highly ranked in 2011. He left the University of Warwick to join UNLV as Professor and Principal Director of Biomedical and Clinical Research in the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA in 2016 and has really enjoyed these past 3 years in UNLV. He is also an Honorary Professor in DeMontfort University in the UK. He has been elected the most influential person in UK Dentistry in 2010 by his peers (Google dentistry top 50 vote 2010 result) and has held the position of Professor of Restorative Dentistry and Gerodontology of the Queen’s University Belfast as well as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to the Royal Hospitals from 2000 – 2010. He is also a specialist in 3 disciplines, Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry as well as being a BUPA Consultant in Oral Surgery and presents at many prestigious postgraduate courses worldwide each year. In 2019 he is elected for the third time as the President of the PTT research group of IADR and he will attend the annual IADR Council meeting as well as chairing a research session and delivering an oral presentation in Vancouver at the 2019 annual IADR meeting.
