Dr. Nachman Brautbar is board-certified in internal medicine, forensic medicine, and nephrology, with a specialization in toxicology. He received his medical degree from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem Hadassah Medical School and has practiced medicine for over 40 years. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine Emeritus at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine and has served as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the Queen of Angels/Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. He has published over 200 scientific papers and book chapters. He has testified as an expert witness in toxic torts and product liability cases. He frequently serves as a consultant on national and international levels.
Dr. Brautbar is a Fellow of the esteemed Collegium Ramazzini - an independent, international academy comprised of internationally renowned experts in the fields of occupational and environmental health. He has been awarded a certificate of recognition by the city of Los Angeles for his contributions to the teaching and research of medicine.
His research interests are in all aspects of Internal Medicine, Medical Toxicology, Occupational Medicine and nephrology and mainly focus on toxicological aspects of kidney diseases and kidney cancer.
