Dr. Zhi Dang is a Professor of South China University of Technology. He received his M.S. in Analytical Geochemistry in 1988 and Ph.D. in Environmental Geochemistry in 1996 from Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After postdoc training in the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), he joined Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a Research Fellow in 1998. Since 2000, he moved to South China University of Technology and became a Professor in Environmental Biogeochemistry and Pollution Control.
The major focus of Dr. Dang�s research is biogeochemical cycle and toxicity of (in) organic pollutants in the environments, with specific interest in the ore area and soil/sediment-water interface. Another main research area is the development of remediation technologies, including bioremediation, phytoremediation and soil washing/flushing, for the decontamination of (in)organic-polluted environments.
