Qingdi Quentin Li

Biography:

Q. Quentin Li is a distinguished research scientist at the National Institutes of Health, having previously served as an assistant professor at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, West Virginia University Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center. With a rich academic background, Dr. Li obtained his M.D. from China and practiced as a dermatologist at Sun Yat-Sen University School of Medicine. He furthered his education by earning an M.S. in Microbiology & Immunology and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Li's expertise extends to molecular and cell biology of cancer, honed during his postdoctoral training in the Medical Oncology Branch of the Center for Cancer Research at the National Cancer Institute. He is an esteemed member of the American Association for Cancer Research, contributing significantly to the field through his role as principal investigator on several grants funded by the National Institutes of Health and pharmaceutical companies.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field of medicine and science, Dr. Li was elected to Who's Who in Medicine & Healthcare, Who's Who in Science & Engineering, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World in 2002 and 2003. His dedication to advancing cancer research and his exemplary achievements make him a prominent figure in the scientific community.

Cellular metabolism, Cancer epigenetics, Cancer chemotherapy & epigenetic therapy, Molecular and cell biology of cancer, Photoimmunotherapy, Oncopharmacology, New antitumor drug research & development, Natural products as novel anticancer agents, Apoptosis & cell cycle control in cancer cells, DNA repair and platinum drug resistance in carcinomas, Identification of biomarkers & epigenetic markers for diagnosis & treatment of carcinomas, Epigenetic regulation of gene expression in T cells & tumor cells.
