Dr.Srinivas Nammi

Biography:

Dr. Srinivas Nammi holds the esteemed position of Senior Lecturer of Pharmacology at the School of Science and Health, Western Sydney University, Australia. With a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specializing in Pharmacology, Dr. Nammi boasts over 20 years of expertise in pharmacological research.

Before joining Western Sydney University, Dr. Nammi served as a Faculty of Pharmacy member at the University of Sydney, building upon years of postdoctoral experience gained as a DAAD Fellow at the University of Tubingen, Germany, and a University of Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He has also contributed significantly to industrial pharmacology, playing a pivotal role in establishing pharmacology research laboratories.

Dr. Nammi's distinguished career is marked by his substantial contributions to herbal medicines research, encompassing both basic and applied research related to drug discovery, biological evaluation, and mechanistic studies, with a particular focus on metabolic disorders. His research findings have been disseminated through numerous scientific publications in peer-reviewed biomedical journals, as well as co-authorship of several book chapters.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Nammi has been honored with several prestigious fellowships, including the DAAD Fellowship in Germany, SESQUI Postdoctoral Fellowship in Australia, and CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship in India. His remarkable achievements have earned him esteemed listings in Marquis biographical publications such as Who's Who in Science & Engineering, Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in Asia, and Who's Who of Professionals. Most notably, he was recently bestowed with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to biomedical research.

His research interest focuses on Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics and Drug Interactions, Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals, Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome, etc
