Biography:

Dr. Mariana Ivanova, MD, PhD was graduated in medicine in 1993. She underwent specialty training in internal medicine and rheumatology.At present she is a rheumatologist in the Rheumatology Clinic of University Hospital �St. Ivan Rilski� and Assoc. Prof. in the Dept. of Internal Medicine of MedicalFaculty, Medical University, Sofia, Bulgaria. She has completed her PhD degree in 2013, based on research in the field of ankylosing spondylitis. Dr. M. Ivanova has published research on molecular biological, immunological and clinical studies in ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, evaluation of cardiovascular risk in gout and serum biomarkers in knee osteoarthritis.

Research Interests:

His research interests focus on Inflammatory joint diseases (AS and nr-ax SpA, peripheral SpA, RA), Systemic connective tissue diseases (SLE), Gout and osteoarthritis, Molecular biological and immunological studies in rheumatic diseases.
