Biography:

Kwang Poo Chang has completed his degree from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He completed his MSc and PhD from University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He is currently working as a professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, USA in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. He authored many publications in reputed journals. He is the Organizer of many national and international scientific activities and research collaborations. He received many National and International awards. He attended many National and International conferences.

Research Interests:

His research interests mainly focus on

Molecular Biology: Structure, regulation and expression of virulence and virulence-regulating genes studied by molecular genetic approach, i.e. gene replacement and transfection.

Biochemistry: Purification and characterization of Leishmania gp63, microsomal N-acetylglucosamine-1-phosphate transferase and nucleoside diphosphate kinase.

Cell Biology: Post-parasite cellular and molecular interactions.

Applied Immunology: Oxidative photo-inactivation of Leishmania spp. for photodynamic vaccination and therapy. Molecular Epidemiology: Leishmania genotype-phenotype polymorphism in clinical pathology and epidemiology.
