Dr.Xiu-qi Wang is a Prof. in College of Animal Science, South China Agricultural University, China. He obtained Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and a Master of Science in Animal Physiology and Biochemistry at Henan Agricultural University, China. He earned Ph.D.in Animal Nutritional Physiology at Nanjing Agricultural University, China. Established a molecular nutrition laboratory to jointly build the “Guangdong Provincial Pigeon Industry Technology Innovation Center” and the “Huaonong-Fast Big Pig Nutrition Research Center”.
The mechanism of the development of porcine intestinal stem cells and its nutritional interventions, such as vomiting toxin, Escherichia coli heat-resistant enterotoxin and warm stress, have made breakthroughs and are at the international leading level.
He serves as an Editorial Board member of some international journals. He has been chosen as a reviewer for more than 20 international journals.
Prof .Dr. Xiu –qi Wang is interested fields of research are Molecular Nutrition, Swine adult stem cells (intestinal stem cells and skeletal muscle satellite cells). His present research focuses on searching for intestinal epithelial renewal and protein metabolism and manipulation, the development of muscle fiber and meat quality control and feed additives to regulate growth and
