Kah Yaw Ee

Biography:

Dr. Kah Yaw Ee graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science in 2011, Bachelor of Applied Science (Food Science) (Honours) in 2006, and Bachelor of Applied Science (Food Science) in 2005, from Charles Sturt University (CSU), WaggaWagga, NSW, Australia. He started his career as a part-time Technical Assistant (2010 – 2012) within the DNA Barcoding Facility at the WaggaWagga Agricultural Institute, and a part-time Research Assistant (2011 – 2012) in Charles Sturt University. He was a Laboratory and QA Manager in Riverina Oils &BioEnergy Pty Ltd, Australia, from 2012 to 2013. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He is an Industrial Training Co-ordinator for Food Science Program and a member of Centre for Biodiversity Research (CBR) in UTAR. He has presented his work at many settings and in different forms, including science symposia, workshops and conferences as oral and poster presentations, national newspaper article. His contributions to Food Science is critical to the ongoing efforts to better understand the fundamental basis for the utilization of the legumes and cereals as functional ingredients in food manufacture.

Research Interests:

Dr Ee’s research mainly focuses on the nature bioactivity of major and minor components from plant, especially legumes and cereals, as well as their food technological functional properties.
