Biography:

Dr. Maria Angeles Rosero Arenas has completed her graduation and post graduation at Valencia’s University. She is currently working as a primary care physician in Valencia. All her professional activity has been developed in Spain. Apart from her normal care work, she has special interest in the treatment of cardiovascular risk factors (hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, etc.) and the prevention of related complications. She has co-directed recent work on the usefulness of phytoestrogens in the treatment of arterial hypertension (2 meta-analyzes) and the treatment of heart failure with electrical devices (resynchronization and defibrillators). She has authored some publications in reputable journals.

Research Interests:

Her research interest mainly focuses on pharmacological treatment with new oral antidiabetics, vascular and neurological complications of diabetes mellitus and secondary prevention strategies. She is also interested in methodological aspects: randomized controlled trials, studies of diagnostic tests, meta-analysis, economic analysis.
