Dr. Amanda J. Chase is a highly accomplished professional in the field of medical education and immunology. She is currently a Senior Editor and Clinical Content Curator for ScholarRx for USMLE-Rx, MedIQ Learning, and the Editorial Board in Elizabethtown, KY, and an Associate Professor of Medical Education at Nova Southeastern University College of Allopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to her current positions, she held similar roles at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in San Antonio, Texas, and Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Chase received her PhD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control with a concentration in viral diagnostics and vaccines. She has secured grant funding for various research projects, including a $1.3M Health Foundation of South Florida grant focused on promoting health equity.
Dr. AJ Chase has conducted research in various areas of medicine, including HIV, dengue virus, and vaccine acceptance. They have published peer-reviewed articles, authored book chapters, and given scholarly presentations and workshops. Additionally, AJ Chase has contributed to medical education by developing team-based learning modules and tools for evaluating session-level integration in medical education. They have also worked on diversity, equity, and inclusion in health professions education, specifically addressing ableism in medicine.
