Orhan E. Arslan

Biography:

Dr. Salvatore Zaffina currently serves as the MD Coordinator of the Occupational Medicine Service at Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, Scientific Research Institute. He previously held the position of professor of Occupational Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Tor Vergata University in Rome. Dr. Zaffina completed his degree in Medicine and Surgery and pursued post-doctoral specialization in Occupational Medicine at the Catholic University, graduating with top honors. Additionally, he earned a Master's degree in Clinical Risk Management at the Biomedical Campus.

From 2007 to 2016, Dr. Zaffina was the Chief Medical Officer at the IRCCS Child Jesus Hospital, overseeing the coordination of medical doctors and serving as the Authorized Doctor of Radiation Protection. He also serves as a Consultant of the Supreme Council of Health in the Public Health Section.

Dr. Zaffina has contributed to numerous publications in reputable international journals and has presented at seminars held at prestigious foreign universities and international meetings. He is an active member of several scientific societies, including the Italian Society of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene, the Italian Association of Medical Radiation Protection, and the Society for Neuroscience.

His research activities encompass projects funded by various public and private bodies of national importance, including the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research (MIUR), the Italian Ministry of Health, the Italian Ministry of Labour, INAIL, and Catholic University.

Research Interests:

His research interests focus on system-based anatomy and neuroanatomy courses, procedure-based, ultrasound-based and landmark based anatomy.
