Dr. Guo Wei is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP). He also holds an adjunct professor position in the College of Economics & Management at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology.
He obtained a Ph.D. in Probability & Statistics and a Master's degree in Computer Science from New Mexico State University in 1999. Additionally, he earned a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1995 and a Master's degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University in China in 1988.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in various projects supported by organizations such as NIH, DIA, and NSFC, particularly in China. Since 2000, he has served as a grant writer for the Healthy Start Corp project at UNCP. This project, supported by HRSA (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services), aims to reduce infant mortality and morbidity on a national scale.
His research areas include Dynamical systems, Probability and Statistics, Computer Aided Designs, and applications in Social Science, Economics and Public Health.
