Dr. Wei Guo is an associate professor at the College of Animal Science, Guizhou University in China, where he conducts research on gut microbiota development and function and its relationship with host production performance using multi-omics. He earned a PhD in Agriculture from Lanzhou University/Alberta University (Joint PhD) and has published several research papers in reputable journals, including the Journal of Dairy Science, Animal Microbiome, Anaerobe, and Nutrients.
Dr. Guo's research interests focus on studying bovine microbes, particularly the gut microbial ecology and function of bovine using metagenomics or metatranscriptomics approaches. She also explores the gut microbiota development of neonates and its interplay with the host immune and metabolism function, as well as elucidating the molecular mechanisms of host-microbe co-evolution using transcriptome/metabolome.
