Mario Santinami has 30 years experience in melanoma surgery and therapy and of all skin cancers in both adult and pediatric age. Management of multiple research projects in basic, clinical and surgical oncology. He also served as Postgraduate professor General Surgery school, the University of Milan since 2001. Postgraduate professor General Surgery school, the University of Milan-Bicocca since 2004. Postgraduate professor Orthopedics school, University of Milan-Bicocca (2004-2007). He is Author/co-author of many peer-reviewed articles published in international journals. He received many honors and awards including Vice President of the Italian Society of Oncological Surgery (2009-11), Treasurer of the Italian Society of Oncology Surgery (2011-13), He obtained the national scientific qualification for a first level professor (2013). He is an active member in some scientific societies such as Member of the scientific committee of the National Cancer Institute of Milan since 2002, Member of the Society of Surgical Oncology (USA), Member of the American Society for Clinical Oncology (USA), Member of SICO (Italian Society of Oncological Surgery), etc.
His research interest focuses on Melanoma, Spindle cell carcinoma, Basal cell carcinoma, Merkel's cell carcinoma, loco-regional therapies, Biological and Immunological therapies.
