Kenneth Blum

Biography:

Dr. Kenneth Blum serves as an Adjunct Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, The University of Florida, College of Medicine and McKnight Brain Institute in Gainsville, Florida. Dr. Blum is an internationally recognized authority on neuropsychopharmacology and genetics. He served as Full Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Texas. He served as Chief of the Division of Addictive Diseases, Chief of the Division of Substance and Alcohol Misuse and Director of the Laboratory of Pharmacogenetics at the University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio, Texas). Dr. Blum received his B.S. in Pharmacy from Columbia University, his M.S. in Medical Science from the New Jersey College of Medicine and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from New York Medical College.

Research Interests:

Genetics of alcoholism, neuropsychiatry and genetics, nutritional genetics, and pharmacogenetics.
