Dr. Norida Mazlan has a degree in Bachelor Science Horticulture and Masters of Agriculture (Pesticide Toxicology) from University Pertanian Malaysia and University Putra Malaysia, respectively. She worked with Agrochemical Company and as research officers which related to the pesticide registration, resistant and residues. She was then continued her doctoral degree in Natural Resources (Food Safety) at Imperial College, London. She joined University Putra Malaysia as senior lecturer in 2006. She is currently an Associate Professor at Faculty of Agriculture and Head, Laboratory of Climate Smart Food Crop Production at Institute Tropical Agriculture and Food Security, University Putra Malaysia. She is working in wide areas of research related to crop protection, which include pesticide residues in food crop, pesticide resistant, farmer’s crop protection practices and decision support on crop protection. She also working closely with other researcher’s in agriculture technology areas such as precision farming, remote sensing and pesticide application with drone. Other than doing research in pesticide and crop protection related areas, she also teaches agriculture tourism related subject to undergraduate.
